What is automatic geolocation?

Automatic geolocation lets your stockists map try to find customer's location when map first loads.

If location is found, map can move to customer and show nearby locations automatically.

This setting is useful when you want customers to land on nearby results without typing search first.

You can control it in:

Settings -> Search & geolocation -> Geolocation Settings

How automatic geolocation works

When Enable automatic geolocation is turned on:

  1. Customer opens stockists map.
  2. Map tries to detect customer's location using your selected geolocation method.
  3. If location is found, map moves toward that location.
  4. Nearby results are shown based on your Geolocation radius.

When Disable automatic geolocation is turned on:

  1. Customer opens stockists map.
  2. Map stays on its normal starting position.
  3. Customer can still search manually.

What does Enable automatic geolocation mean?

Enable automatic geolocation means map tries to find location on page load.
